New development prospects for the group

Since 1st July, Société Générale and Econocom Group have been in exclusive negotiations with a view to Econocom’s acquiring ECS Group.

If Société Générale and Econocom reach an agreement at the end of these negotiations, ECS will be part of a solid synergy with enhanced development prospects, enabling the group to make significant headway in the IT service market.

The strong, independent new group will boast a turnover of €1.6 billion, €250 million of which will be generated by services, and over 4,000 employees, including more than 2,000 engineers and technicians. The group’s success will be based on the combination of ECS’ unquestioned expertise in systems infrastructures and Econocom’s distributed infrastructure and telecoms know-how, and on the increased geographical coverage.

The new group will offer its customers innovative, value-add solutions thanks to its industry-recognised know-how and mutually complementary areas of expertise: mobility, leasing management, distributed infrastructure and systems infrastructure services, and distribution.
